Before Oral or Intravenous Sedation

Follow These Instructions Prior to Dental Sedation:

• Please do not eat or drink anything (including water) for eight hours prior to your appointment
• A responsible adult must accompany the patient to the office, remain at the office during the procedure, drive the patient home, and monitor the patient at home
• Please wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up past the elbow
• If you have an illness such as a facial rash, cold, sore throat, or upset stomach, please notify the office
• If you take routine oral medications, please check with us prior to your surgical date for instructions
• No smoking at least 12 hours before surgery. We recommend you cut down or stop smoking as soon as possible prior to the day of surgery
